Sensorial - Color sorting

Sensorial Color sorting 2+

MATERIALS: Beads, jewels, rocks or tiny household items of varying colors. Small bowls or cups or a compartmented box or tray. Tweezers or pincers added to this activity make it a motor skills developer, too!

USE: Have one bowl of assorted colored objects. Child brings tray wtih materials to their work mat. Child places all items of similar colors into other bowls(compartments, etc). Also can be used with color cards (see sensorial color gradients) and sorted from darkest to lightest. Child places all materials back in their home after finishing.
